All government, semi-government and some private sector employees in Sharjah must undergo mandatory PCR tests for Covid-19.
Government workers must undergo the test every week. Service sector employees must undergo the test every two weeks. Fully vaccinated employees are exempted from the requirement.
It is mandatory for government employees at the federal level and those in Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah and Umm Al Quwain departments.
The recent Sharjah decision came as the local Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Team announced the new Covid-19 safety measures.
