Egypt Health Minister, Dr. Hala Zayed announced on Sunday the start of distribution of the Chinese Sinopharm vaccine, to be administered first to medical staff in hospitals for isolated cases.
The doses will be available at 36 centers throughout the nation and secured for medical teams attending to chronic disease and the elderly. A second dose must be administered 21 days after the first dose.
The minister announced that once medical staff have received their vaccines, jabs will be given to the citizens of chronic an critical disease.
The vaccination will be voluntary and free of charge, the minister added.
