UAE: Private schools return to the classroom

A maximum of 30 private school students may physically return to the classrooms from Sunday February 14, the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge announced.

All students aged 12 and above must take a Covid-19 PCR test to attend school. Masks are mandatory for students from Grade 1 and above. Students will be seated 1.5 meters apart.

Students and staff with chronic health conditions can attend school provided they obtain an approval note from a doctor and submit a signed risk undertaking form available at the school.

School buses will be allowed to carry up to 66% of the maximum capacity and by leaving an alternate seat empty to ensure social distancing.
