UAE: Private Sector May Go Home Under “Early Leave”
Private sector workers in the UAE will be allowed to return to their home countries during the current coronavirus precautionary measures under a newly launched ‘Early Leave’ initiative from the government.
Employees must submit annual leave dates or agree with employers on unpaid leave.
A report by Emirates News Agency (WAM) said: “The initiative is part of the humanitarian efforts of the UAE’s wise leadership in meeting the needs of residents seeking to return to their home countries and supporting them in these difficult times.”
On Sunday, the UAE confirmed a further 294 cases, taking the total number of infections in the country to 1,799.
