UAE reports 1,227 new coronavirus cases and 2 deaths
The UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention on Saturday reported 1,227 cases of the COVID-19 coronavirus, along with 1,542 recoveries and two deaths.
As many as 157,461 new Covid-19 tests were carried out, taking the total number of tests carried out in the country to 20 million plus so far.
The total number of cases in UAE as on December 26 stand at 200,892, while recoveries are 177,407. Death toll rises to 655.
Total number of active cases in the country stand at 22,830.
Meanwhile, the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) received an international recognition for being “proactive” in its Covid-19 response action plan.
