UAE reports 1,967 new coronavirus cases and 3 deaths

The UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention on Tuesday reported 1,967 cases of the Covid-19 coronavirus, along with 1,866 recoveries and 3 deaths.

New cases were detected through additional 153,645 tests.

The UAE has conducted over 21.5 million tests till date as part of the country’s massive screening programmes to combat the spread of Covid-19.

The total number of cases in UAE as of January 5 stands at 216,699 while recoveries are 193,32. The death toll rises to 685.
