UAE: School shuts down one week before new academic term

CBSE-affiliated AMLED School in Dubai has shut down ahead of the new term that is set to begin on 29th August, citing financial distress due to COVID-19.

The school on Wednesday evening unexpectedly announced the closure a circular to its parents and staff.

However, the school will be conducting regular online classes for its students that will continue from Sunday 29 August 2021 till Thursday 30 September 2021.

The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) had rated the school “Good” in its inspection Report for 2019-2020.

In its effort to assist its students, the school is tying up with few other institutions that are also rated “Good” by KHDA to help with smooth transfer.
