The UAE confirmed early Sunday it has launched a search for Moldovan citizen Zvi Kogan, after his family reported him missing.
The Ministry of Interior noted that relevant authorities began an investigation immediately after receiving the report from the family which has been unable to contact Kogan since Thursday.
Majed Al Mansouri, Director of the Foreign Nationals Affairs Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, confirmed that the ministry is closely following the issue, and that it is in contact with Kogan’s family to provide all necessary forms of support to them. The ministry is also in touch with the Moldovan Embassy in Abu Dhabi.
The ministry called on the public to seek information from official sources and to avoid passing on rumours.
