Bahrain: Eid prayers to be performed at home

Eid prayers in Bahrain will be performed at home at 5:31 am on Friday, the Sunni Endowment Department has said.

Mosques will proclaim the traditional Eid takbeers (praise to Allah) from 5:00 until 5:31 am.

The takbeers traditionally precede the prayers and sermons, but there will be no prayers.

Bahrain had shut down mosques as part of the preventive measures to mitigate the spread of the coronavirus through congregations.
