UAE Shortens Hours of Disinfection Campaign During Ramadan
UAE has reduced the hours of the National Disinfection Period by two hours – from 10 PM to 6 AM the following morning – during the month of Ramadan, authorities announced.
During those hours, UAE residents are expected to stay at home unless there is an emergency that requires them to leave home.
At the moment, the disinfection campaign is conducted between 8 PM to 6 AM.
A number of locations can remain open for 24-hours, including supermarkets, food outlets and pharmacies.
Between 6 AM and 10 PM, various vendors – meat, fruit and vegetable trading, roasters, mills trading, coffee trading and tea trading firms – can operate, but only at 30 percent capacity.
