UAE signs deals with UN Food and Agriculture Organization
Abu Dhabi has signed two cooperation agreements with the UN Food and Agriculture Organization.
The deals will strengthen the UAE capital’s collaboration with the FAO in agricultural planning and biosecurity, Minister of State for Food Security, Mariam Hareb Al-Mheiri, said.
The country is working on 19 projects with the FAO, particularly in developing local food production to meet its obligations toward the UN’s zero-hunger sustainable development goal.
The agreements will also encourage the use of innovation and technology to address food security issues.
