UAE Sterilization Drive: No Need of Permits

The UAE’s Ministry of the Interior has suspended the requirement for residents to apply for a permit to move at night during the National Sterilisation Programme.

It was earlier announced that people leaving their homes during the daytime between 6 am to 8 pm in the UAE don’t need permits.

With this, all permit requirements have been suspended.

The ministry said the move was reflective of the commitment that residents had shown to stay at home during the allotted hours.

Authorities will continue to check IDs of those found outside during the hours of the sterilisation campaign.
