UAE: 2nd edition of Sharjah Events Festival to begin from December 8
With the tagline “#SeeSharjah”, the Sharjah Events website of the Sharjah Government Media Bureau has announced the beginning of the second edition of the Sharjah Events Festival, which will run for four days from December 8 to 11 from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. each day at the Al Majaz Amphitheatre.
A wide variety of sports, musical events, activities, and classic and contemporary stage productions are all part of the Sharjah Festival of Events’ family-friendly schedule.
More than 35 government, semi-government, and private entities and institutions in the Emirate of Sharjah take part in the festival’s events, which are held on interactive platforms and include a wide range of entertainment options and free workshops for festivalgoers.
Starting at 8 o’clock in the evening on Saturday, December 10th, festivalgoers can watch Tariq Al-Arabi and his children, who bring back fond memories of their youth and the “Spacetoon” generation. Young Emirati talent will be showcased at the Sharjah Events Festival’s second session, which will feature performances and special projects by aspiring artists. The festival’s most popular personality, “Saqr,” will also be there.
The 9th edition of the Sharjah International Travel and Tourism Forum (SITTF) will be held on Thursday, November 24, 2022, under the theme ‘Building a Resilient Future for Tourism.’
Organised by the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority (SCTDA) at Sharjah Expo Centre, the forum will convene a host of government officials as well as local and international decision-makers, along with a number of experts in the global travel, tourism, and aviation sector, tourist destinations, economy, hospitality entrepreneurs, tour operators, and travel content creators on social media platforms.
An array of topics on building a sustainable future for tourism will be discussed in three presentations and three-panel discussions at SITTF. The sessions will shed light on inspiring hospitality industries to become more creative and innovative, developing destinations’ competitive capability in line with international standards, best practices and global expertise. Other key topics under the spotlight will be the challenges facing tourism, an indispensable vibrant economic sector.
Discussion topics will also include, Introducing modern technologies and various smart options that will support the creation of an integrated tourism environment, develop the sector and ensure its sustainability.
SITTF is one of Sharjah’s most prominent tourist events that hosts industry experts to discuss the novelties of travel and tourism and share ideas that support local economy through the effectiveness of tourist attraction, with a focus on the competition, innovation, and sustainability of tourist destinations.
