UAE weather authorities have forecast more rain, rough seas and gusts of wind blowing dust and sand this week.
In a five-day weather forecast the National Centre for Meteorology identified the probablity of rain in parts of the country this week.
It also said there would be weak surface pressure systems, accompanied by an extension of a weak upper air low-pressure system on Monday.

Monday, May 6: Fair to partly cloudy at times, with a probability of some convective clouds formation Southward by afternoon maybe associated with rainfall. Light to moderate winds, and freshening at times. The sea will be slight in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea.
Tuesday, May 7: Fair to partly cloudy at times, clouds appear Westward and Southward associated with convective clouds, with a probability of rainfall. Light to moderate Southeasterly to Northeasterly winds, freshening at times causing blowing dust, with a speed of 10 – 25 reaching 40 kmph. The sea will be slight in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea.
Wednesday, May 8: Fair to partly cloudy at times, clouds appear Westward and Southward associated with convective clouds, with a probability of rainfall. Light to moderate Southeasterly to Northeasterly becoming Northwesterly winds, freshening at times causing blowing dust, with a speed of 10 – 25 reaching 40 kmph. The sea will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and slight in Oman Sea.
Thursday, May 9: Fair to partly cloudy at times, clouds appear maybe convective Westward and Southward. With a decrease in temperatures especially Westward. Light to moderate Northwesterly winds, freshening at times causing blowing dust and sand, with a speed of 15 – 25 reaching 40 kmph. The sea will be moderate-to-rough in the Arabian Gulf and slight to moderate becoming rough by night in Oman Sea.
Friday, May 10: Fair to partly cloudy at times. Moderate to fresh Northwesterly winds, strong at times over the sea causing blowing dust and sand, with a speed of 15 – 30 reaching 45 kmph. The sea will be rough to very rough at times in the Arabian Gulf and moderate to rough in Oman Sea.
