A Colorado woman says she has saved $40,000 on medical and beauty treatments over nearly three years by traveling abroad to visit the dentist, receive Botox — and even get her hair done.

“I was getting hair extensions done in Idaho — they had raised their prices to $4,500. It was astronomical,” Bryn Elise Wright, 29, explained to SWNS.

“I started thinking about other options. I started looking abroad,” she continued.

That was the summer of 2021 — Wright said she found an Instagrammer in Istanbul, Turkey, who promised to do her hair for $500.

“I thought there was a miscommunication at first,” Wright recalled. “We worked it into our travel plans. It went wonderfully. I was blown away.”

She had laser hair removal in Paris — shelling out just $400 instead of $2,000.

She chipped a tooth while traveling in Bali, Thailand, and booked the treatment for $70 rather than $600 to $700 in the US.

A new crown and deep teeth cleaning in Turkey cost $240, not $1,800.

And when she and Jorgenson fell ill in Thailand, they spent 24 hours in a hospital — costing them only $120 each.

“I wouldn’t have gone to hospital if I’d been at home,” said Wright, arguing that the hospital bill in America would have been between $10,000 and $20,000.

Wright plans to continue traveling and trying out cheap beauty treatments.

“Let me be the guinea pig,” Wright said. “It’s saved me tons of money. We’re onto something.”

Wright is not alone — a California-based TikToker admitted she flew to Turkey last year for a $4,000 nose job, while a British couple also jetted off to Turkey for $18,000 worth of cosmetic enhancements.
