HH Shaikh Nasser and Bahrain team honoured by engraved plaque at Nepal guest house

Bahrain Everest Team has had an engraved stone dedicated to HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa at Nepal’s oldest guest house, Kathmandu Guest House.

The plaque now stays alongside great names like Chhang Dawa Sherpa and Mingma Sherpa, who hold the world record as first brothers to summit the 14 highest peaks and Sir Edmund Percival Hillary, the first to reach the summit of Mount Everest along with Sherpa mountaineer Tenzing Norgay.

Next stop for the Bahraini mountaineering team is Mount Everest, which they will attempt to climb next year.
