The World Bank predicted in a report that Bahrain’s economy would grow at a moderate rate of 2% in 2019, and an average of 2.3% in 2020-2021. The bank indicated that the non-oil sector will be the key factor of this growth, while the increase in industrial production and higher levels of infrastructure spending will be the driver of non-oil GDP growth. Bahrain’s exports of oil products in the first half of this year were 1.87 billion dinars, while the country is seeking to expand the oil refinery to diversify its national income sources.
