Saudi Reveals New Temporary Work Visa

Saudi Arabia has revealed a new temporary work visa, which allows enterprises to issue a temporary work visa for three months. The visa can also be extended for a similar period, according to Qiwa.

That said, here is how you can apply for the temporary work visa online:

1. Log in to the enterprise’s account
2. Choose temporary work visa service from e-services
3. Click on Submit temporary work visa request
4. Fill all the fields
5. Submit the request for a temporary work visa

Note: The request must be submitted by the business owner or a commissioner on Qiwa business.

Once the request has been submitted, the online work visa will be issued immediately through the Qiwa platform and does not require any documents. The website also added that the enterprise must be active and hold a valid commercial registration (except for activities that do not require commercial registration).

In addition, the enterprise’s Nitaqat must be on a medium green level. Enterprises under the same unified number must not have any expired work permits and must have sufficient credit in the national unified number of the enterprise on Absher.

The visa can be rejected due to:

• Insufficient balance in the unified number of the enterprise on their Absher account.
• Rejection is from the Ministry of Interior.
• Cancelling the visa
• The issued visas can be cancelled and a refund for the government fees will be credited to your enterprise based on the service terms and conditions.

For a refund, the request must be submitted by the business owner or a commissioner on Qiwa business. Here is how you can do that:

1. Log in to the enterprise’s account
2. Choose temporary work visa service from e-services
3. Choose the balance requests from the requests list
4. Click cancel package
5. Confirm cancellation
6. The balance can be used within one year from the purchase date.

The package cannot be refunded after 30 days from purchase, or in case of issuing at least one temporary work visa from the package, the Qiwa website reads. Applicants cannot move the visa balance to other enterprises.
