Bahrain Announces National Jobs Plan, Aims To Create Investment, Opportunities for Women

Bahrain has announced a major job plan as it looks to find more work for citizens in the country, said the state-run news agency.

The new strategy, which will run until 2026, aims to provide training and employment opportunities for citizens, while also forging relationships between the public and private sector.

It will also aim to attract investment into Bahrain, provide remote and part-time working structures and attract women into the workforce.

Jamil bin Mohammad Ali Humaidan, Minister of Labour and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) said that the National Labour Market Plan 2023-2026 came after completing 91 per cent of the initiatives of the previous plan of 2021-2023 that resulted in increasing employment rates of citizens in the private sector.
