Oman rescues 28 people from 13 boats stranded at sea
The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has rescued 28 people on board 13 boats after their engines broke down at sea.
A statement issued online by ROP said that the Coast Guard police boats responded to the distress calls in Muscat, Musandam, North Al Batinah and Dhofar.
The Royal Oman Police advises boat owners to carry out regular maintenance of their boats, to take an adequate amount of fuel, and ensure the presence of safety tools and first aid before going to the sea, the statement added.
