Bahrain: 52 New Private Clinics For Expat Medical Exams

The Ministry of Health has announced that 52 private medical centers are now authorised to conduct medical examinations for expatriates.

This follows changes made to the process, which previously required expatriates to undergo examinations at government-run health centers.

The announcement was made during a workshop organised by the Ministry of Health for representatives of the private centers, as well as representatives from the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA), the Information & eGovernment Authority, and the National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA).

Dr. Aisha Hussain, Head of the Medical Committees at the Ministry of Health, stated that the changes necessitated the development of new mechanisms to facilitate communication and streamline the process.

Workshop

Meanwhile, the workshop discussed the current status of the service, the guidelines for conducting medical examinations for expatriates, and ways to improve communication between government agencies and the private medical centers.

The workshop was attended by 250 healthcare professionals from the 52 authorised The workshop in progress centers.
