UAE: Free education for Abu Dhabi students

Thirteen American Curriculum schools in Abu Dhabi and four in Al Ain provide education to students for free.

According to the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK), students must meet at least five conditions: residing in the vicinity of the school, being above the minimum age, registration on specified dates, submission of registration documents on time, and fulfilling any other requirements as stipulated by ADEK.

Registration has begun for enrollment in the 17 government-funded private schools and kindergartens for academic year 2021-2022, authorities announced.

Enrollment is restricted to four categories of students: Emiratis, children of female Emiratis, those granted UAE citizenship through Royal Decrees, and GCC citizens.
