Suspects accused of stealing from under-construction houses in the Muharraq Governorate have landed in police custody.
The head of the Muharraq Governorate Prosecution said the arrests followed an investigation into multiple reports of theft of electrical wires and building tools from houses under construction in the East Hidd area.
Police formed a team and gathered evidence from the crime scenes leading to the identification and arrest of one of the suspects, who led to the arrest of other suspects. Prosecutors said the suspects have confessed to the crimes.
During interrogation, one of the suspects told officers that they decided to steal from houses in the area and formed a group. Public Prosecution remanded the suspects to 7 days pending further investigation.
