India: Five killed in election bloodshed
Five people were killed and three injured in an election bloodshed in West Bengal, India on Saturday.
Four of the deceased were shot by paramilitary troops “in self-defense” officials said.
The fifth victim was shot dead in clashes between supporters of Banerjee’s All India Trinamool Congress and Modi’s Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), police said.
Three people were injured in the clash and were admitted to a local health facility.
