Alleged draft of penal code circulating social media is fake, Saudi official says
A senior official at the Saudi Ministry of Media has denied the authenticity of the alleged draft of penal measures that has been recently circulating on social media platforms.
The official confirmed that the previously announced draft remains under preparation and is currently undergoing legislative review.
He emphasised the necessity of ensuring the accuracy of shared information to avoid spreading rumors and incorrect information through unofficial accounts. He called on everyone to cooperate in advancing a healthy judicial and legal culture.
