Bahrain announces lanes closure on Khalifa Al Kabeer Highway
Work on Khalifa Al Kabeer Highway footbridge near the Coast Guard Base in Muharraq necessitates the closure of the highway in stages, the Ministry of Works, Municipality Affairs& Urban Planning has said.
In the first stage, there will be a full closure of the highway in both directions and the traffic movement will be diverted to Abdullah Rahman Al Fadhel Avenue for the traffic going to Manama and to Road 1655 (the Service Road) for eastbound traffic going to Arad, starting Friday August 14 at 12:00 am to 12:00 pm.
In the second stage, two lanes will be closed in both directions and one lane will be provided for traffic in both directions on Friday August 14 at 12:00 noon to 11:30 pm.
In the third stage, the highway will be fully closed in both directions and the traffic movement will be diverted to Abdullah Rahman Al Fadhel Avenue for the traffic going to Manama and to Road 1655 (the Service Road) for eastbound traffic going to Arad starting from Saturday August 15 at 12:00 am to 4:00 pm.
