Nawaf bin Mohammed Al-Maawda, Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, praised the honorable and proud achievements of Bahraini competitors in international Quranic forums, and the advanced levels they demonstrate, under the high royal patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
This came during his honouring of the contestant, Nour Abdul Razzaq Shakib, who won first place in the Dubai International Holy Quran Competition in its twelfth session, in the category of memorizing the entire Holy Quran.
She also won the award for the best recitation with perfect rulings, which was held in the United Arab Emirates recently, with the participation of 548 contestants from the Gulf Cooperation Council countries. The Minister also praised the efforts of Professor Suhaila Rajab to prepare and qualify the contestant, Nour Shakib, in the presence of Judge Issa Sami Al Mannai, Undersecretary for Justice and Islamic Affairs, Abdullah Qahtan Al Amri, Director of the Holy Quran Affairs Department, a number of officials, and the contestant’s father.
He noted the existing partnership between the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, and the Holy Quran memorization centres, in the field of teaching the holy book, memorizing it and mastering its recitation, and preparing qualification programs for contestants participating in Quranic competitions.
