Over 287 Sri Lankan expats flew home yesterday with the help of the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Bahrain.
The Embassy together with the Ministry of Foreign Relations, the Presidential Secretariat and SriLankan Airlines facilitated the repatriation of the stranded Sri Lankans from Bahrain.
The stranded passengers arrived at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) in Katunayake by Srilankan Airlines special flight UL202.
All passengers had undergone PCR testing prior to their departure.
