Bahrain to demolish buildings older than 45 years

Bahrain confirmed that its plans to demolish and replace old apartments with new residential buildings are progressing as scheduled.

The project covers buildings older than 45 years and unfit for living, with higher maintenance costs.

For the tenants of these apartments, the Kingdom offers various alternatives, including granting a monthly housing allowance of up to BD200 to speed up evacuation.
