Bahrain: Vegetables and fruits prices back to normal

Prices of vegetables and fruits have been returned to their ‘normal’ level in Bahrain and are stable now, said a top Bahrain Chamber official while pointing out that prices are poised to come down further in the coming period.

Bahrain imported foodstuffs from other sources to cover market demand. The recent hike in prices was mainly due to the suspension of exports by some of the countries due to multiple factors, including unstable conditions and developments that are negatively impacting the global food market.
