Bahraini Runner Wins Third Place in 200-Meter Race
Bahraini Runner Layla Kamal won the bronze medal in the women’s 200-meter race at the fifth Asian Junior Championships. The runner came in third place after finishing the race in 24:48 seconds.
The third-place winner came behind Lee Testo from Hong Kong, who achieved first place in 24:27 seconds, while Indian runner Rizwana came in second place in 24:38 seconds.
Kamal won the women’s 100-meter race in first place in 11:77 seconds, becoming the fastest runner in the Asian region and was thereby honoured with the gold medal.
