UAE: Residents can appeal against Covid-19 penalties
A new electronic service has been launched for UAE residents to challenge the fines for violating Covid-19 safety measures ranging from Dh500 to Dh50,000, if they feel they have been penalised unfairly.
The service can be accessed via www.pp.gov.ae. It can also be accessed via the public prosecution app.
It is the duty of the prosecution to investigate every relevant complaint and decide whether to cancel the fine or uphold it.
