Omani citizens wishing to visit Bosnia and Herzegovina must obtain an entry visa to the country from the Bosnian Embassy starting on February 10, 2024, the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Bosnia and Herzegovina said. The embassy said in a statement: “The Embassy would like to note to the honourable citizens that, based on the decision issued by the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina on January 11, 2024 regarding the necessity of obtaining an entry visa to Bosnia and Herzegovina for citizens of the Sultanate of Oman. Accordingly, as of February 10, 2024 , the decision will be implemented, and those wishing to travel to Bosnia and Herzegovina must apply for an entry visa from the Bosnian Embassy in Riyadh.”

An expat has been arrested for stealing electric wires from six houses under construction in the Wilayat of Jaalan Bani Bu Ali, South Al Sharqiyah Governorate. Royal Oman Police (ROP), said in a statement: “The South Al Sharqiyah Governorate Police Command arrests a person of Asian nationality after he stole electrical wires from six houses under construction in the Wilayat of Jaalan Bani Bu Ali. Oman has unveiled ambitious plans for the establishment of the Middle East’s inaugural spaceport, slated for full operational status by 2030. Named Etlaq, this cutting-edge facility is designed to accommodate space launchers of various sizes and strategically located in the port city of Duqm. A citizen was arrested for possessing more than 2,600 Captagon tablets and a quantity of crystal drug for the purpose of trafficking in South Al Batinah Governorate. Royal Oman Police (ROP) said in a statement :”The South Al Batinah Governorate Police Command arrested a citizen in possession of more than 2,600 Captagon tablets and a quantity of crystal drug for the purpose of trafficking. The legal procedures are being completed against him.” In another incident: Three arrested in possession of drugs in Dhofar ROP said in a statement: “Coast Guard police boats led by the Dhofar Governorate Police seized a boat carrying 3 infiltrators of Arab nationality and in possession of more than 1,050 packages of the khat drug. Cirium conducted research into flight arrival times to create the 2023 On-Time Performance Review. Now in its 15th year, the Cirium On-Time Performance program meticulously monitors global airline operational performance using extensive and unbiased data, derived from more than 600 real-time information sources. Middle East and Africa’s most punctual airlines Oman Air was named the most punctual airline in the Middle East and Africa for 2023. It scored 92.5 per cent On-Time Performance (OTP), the highest among all carriers across all categories. An on-time flight is defined as a flight that arrives within 15 minutes of the scheduled gate arrival. It’s the second consecutive time the Muscat-based airline has taken the top spot, having scored 91.3 per cent during 2022. Four people were arrested while trying to smuggle about 100 kilogrammes of drugs to the Sultanate of Oman. The Royal Oman Police (ROP) said: “The Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Control Department, led by the South Al Sharqiyah Governorate Police, in cooperation with the Coast Guard Police, arrested four people of Asian nationality while trying to smuggle 50 kilograms of crystal meth and 49 kilograms of hashish, and completed legal procedures.”
