FIFA Series 2024 Concludes In Jeddah

The FIFA Series 2024 wrapped up its friendly matches in Saudi Arabia, marking its first time hosting during the international FIFA days, featuring eight national teams.

The first group featured teams from Cape Verde (Confederation of African Football), Cambodia (Asian Football Confederation), Equatorial Guinea (Confederation of African Football), and Guyana (Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football).

The second group included Bermuda (Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football), Brunei Darussalam (Asian Football Confederation), Guinea (Confederation of African Football), and Vanuatu (Oceania Football Confederation), according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

Saudi Arabia has emerged as a prominent global sports destination, showcasing its prowess by successfully hosting a series of prestigious events. From the FIFA Club World Cup to the Spanish and Italian Super Cups, along with the West Asian Women’s Championship, Saudi Arabia has solidified its position as a hub for international sports. This impressive track record has paved the way for the country to secure the hosting rights for the 2027 Asian Cup. Moreover, Saudi Arabia’s consideration as a potential host for the 2034 World Cup underscores its unwavering dedication to staging major sporting spectacles on a grand scale.
