The first edition of the Healthcare Centres Conference and Exhibition, themed “From Theory to Excellence,” has kicked off.
800 specialist doctors, academics, consultants, experts, students, and those interested in the field of primary health care, in addition to 76 speakers from Bahrain and abroad, participated in the conference that ran until Sunday, February 4.
The three-day conference featured 14 workshops covering key topics such as family medicine, emergency medicine, infection control, vaccinations, chronic, infectious, and hereditary diseases, and mental illness, as well as oral and dental health.
The conference also discussed other important issues, such as developing primary healthcare policies, innovation in treatments and medical devices, improving quality and safety in health services, exchanging experiences in health institutional accreditation and how to implement and manage relevant medical and health regulations.
The conference also reviewed the latest procedures and laws adopted in regulating primary healthcare through 38 plenary sessions that addressed topics related to legal and ethical work in the primary healthcare sector.
The Healthcare Centres Conference attracted representatives of public and private health entities, universities, health associations, senior decision-makers, and affiliates of the health sector, providing an opportunity to highlight the kingdom’s initiatives to develop the health sector.
