Bahrain: Mass Wedding Held Under the Patronage of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa
The 11th mass wedding was held today under the patronage of His Majesty the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF) His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
The Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation hosted the ceremony which was held at the Shaikh Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa Auditorium at the University of Bahrain campus in Sakhir. A total of 1200 brides and grooms tied the knot during the mass wedding, making it the largest event of its kind in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The ceremony was attended also by UAE Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain His Highness Shaikh Sultan bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, RCO Secretary General Dr. Mustafa Al Sayyed, Director GeneralKhalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation Mohammed Al Khoury.
HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad hailed longstanding relations binding the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and UAE President HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
He commended the dedicated efforts made by the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation to support youth in the Kingdom of Bahrain, which reflects strong bilateral relations. He also expressed congratulations to all the newlywed couples, wishing them a happy and stable family life.
Al Khoury praised the leadership in both countries for supporting the mass wedding in the Kingdom of Bahrain, thus reflecting the long-standing fraternal ties, noting that the number of beneficiaries from the mass weddings topped 8126 so far. Dr Al Sayyed also paid tribute to HM King Hamad and UAE President HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, praising the role of the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation.
