The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources (MAFWR) has arrested nine expats for illegal fishing in South Al Sharqiyah Governorate.
“The fisheries control team in South Al Sharqiyah Governorate managed to seize three fishing boats carrying nine expatriate workers engaged in fishing without a license in the sea of the Wilayat of Masirah. Legal procedures are being completed against them, ” the Ministry said in a statement.
