Oman: All Tourists Asked to Return Home

Tourists who are currently in Oman have been urged to leave and return to their home countries due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Oman’s Ministry of Tourism has called on travel and tourism agencies as well as hotel establishments to advise tourist groups to leave the Sultanate and return to their countries due to the uncertainty of coronavirus.

The ministry said that it is better for tourists, who are currently in the Sultanate, to leave and return home, due to lack of clarity and exceptional circumstances the world is going through amid the developments on the spread of the Covid-19 virus.

The move is part of a series of strict preventive and precautionary measures taken by Oman to contain the spread of coronavirus and safeguard the safety of its people.
