Oman: Several National Projects Set To Be Opened

The Secretariat General of National Celebrations has finished preparing the opening program for national projects coinciding with the celebration of the glorious 53rd National Day.

The most important of these projects, which the Oman Investment Authority recently announced its opening, are the Duqm Refinery and petrochemical industries, the Duqm Integrated Electricity and Water Station, the Ras Markaz Crude Oil Storage Project, the Khuwaimah Shrimp Farm, the “link” project for electricity transmission, and the JW Marriott Hotel Muscat.

Several concerned authorities in the state’s administrative apparatus will open several sustainable development projects worth more than OMR 650 million, including the opening of the production assembly station in the Greater Saqr area (Tajgal Nimr), the fishing port, the shipping and customs services station, and the infrastructure works at the government dock in the port of Duqm, and other projects. It will contribute to enhancing economic diversification and attracting more investments. The total cost of the projects to be opened will reach OMR 4.6 billion.
