Qatar: Raffles, Fairmont Hotels Shut All F&B Outlets After Guest Evacuation

The two luxury hotels evacuated all guests on Tuesday, but the reasons for the decision were not immediately clear. Nine restaurants were shut down, including the Fairmont’s four restaurants Masala Library by Jiggs Kalra, Dome Fairmont Lounge, Provok Asian Project, and Vaya! Latin Mercado as well as the Raffles’ L’Artisan, Alba by Enrico Crippa, Malaki, Acoustic Music Penthouse, and Blue Cigar.

It is understood that bookings will only be available from August 8 onwards. The hotels are managed by the multinational hospitality firm Accor.

The Raffles and Fairmont hotels in Doha, Qatar have a total combined occupancy of 493 rooms and suites. The hotels first opened their doors exclusively to FIFA officials and delegates for the FIFA World Cup in Qatar last year.
