Saudi Border Guards Foil Drug Smugglers
Saudi Border Guard officers on Sunday foiled drug-smuggling attempts in Jazan and Asir, seizing 405 kg of qat.
In the first operation, patrols confiscated 135 kg of the narcotic in Al-Daer, Jazan, while in Al-Raboua in the Asir region they intercepted smugglers carrying 270 kg of the substance.
Security authorities in the Kingdom have urged anyone with information about suspected drug smuggling or promotion activities to report it immediately.
