Saudi: Turkish pilgrims exempted from age requirement, COVID vaccine procedures

Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dr Tawfiq Al-Rabiah announced the cancellation of health procedures of COVID-19 vaccines for all pilgrims coming from Turkey, as well as exempting them from the age requirement.

Dr. Al-Rabiah’s announcement came during a joint press conference he held with the Head of Türkiye’s Religious Affairs Ali Erbaş.

He confirmed that Saudi Arabia’s government and people welcome all numbers of upcoming Umrah pilgrims without limit, in addition to allowing those with various visa types from all over the world to perform the Umrah rituals.

The rapid developments in the Grand Mosque in Makkah and Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah have been also conducted in order to offer the best facilities and a high level of services for pilgrims. This would allow for the biggest number of Muslims to arrive here from around the world to perform Umrah in the easiest ways and at the lowest costs.

Dr. Al-Rabiah also spoke about the “Nusuk” platform on smartphones, which allows pilgrims to obtain Umrah visas and visit visas. It also allows them to register for all services such as transportation and housing, in addition to several other services.
