UAE Tops as Christmas, New Year Holiday Destination for Tourists
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has topped as a global destination of choice for tourists for the Christmas and New Year holiday season.
Airline travel and tourism rates are expected to see a surge during this period, according to WAM.
Dubai International Airport (DXB) is set to expect an influx of passengers with 4.4 million passengers expected between December 15 to 31. December 22 was anticipated to be the busiest day, welcoming 279,000 passengers.

With increased passenger flow, Dubai International Airport (DXB) shared an array of festival initiatives available during this season including free game spaces, free legos, hotel promo codes and other offers.
Essa Al Shamsi, Senior Vice President of Terminal Operations at Dubai Airports, said: “We welcomed new airlines and additional flights at DXB at the start of the winter to help attract a growing number of visitors to Dubai and connect them to even more cities.
