UAE tops global rankings in internet, social media usage
The UAE has topped the global rankings in the digital wellbeing indicators with 99% of its population using the internet and social media, the Minister of Community Development, Hessa bint Essa Buhumaid said on Monday.
The minister revealed initiatives of the newly launched National Digital Wellbeing Policy, stating the four pillars — capabilities, behaviour, content and communication — aimed at achieving safe, secure and positive wellbeing of the society.

Approximately 56% children use digital devices to watch videos, of which, 50% use these devices to play electronic games.
About 45% parents talk to their children about the negative effects of excessive use of digital devices. Of these, 33% check the content of devices such as visited sites, downloaded applications and exchanged messages
