Professional networking platform LinkedIn has published its latest list of top companies in the UAE and Saudi Arabia where employees can expect to experience greater levels of career growth.
Every year, LinkedIn publishes its ‘Top Companies’ lists for the UAE and Saudi Arabia using data on its platform that ranks organisations on seven pillars related to career progression: ability to advance; skills growth; company stability; external opportunity; company affinity; and employee mix and gender diversity.
As part of its latest lists, LinkedIn sourced data from January 1, 2023 to December 31, 2023, evaluating both midsize and large companies. To be eligible, companies must have at least 500 full-time employees in the countries in which they operate, says LinkedIn. Also, LinkedIn says that only parent companies rank on its list, while “majority-owned subsidiaries and data about those subsidiaries are incorporated into the parent company score”.
“This year’s lists show how companies in the UAE and Saudi Arabia are continuing to grow and expand, which further cements the region’s reputation as a leading business hub,” says Salma Altantawy, Senior News Editor at LinkedIn.
“Our research has previously indicated professionals’ appetite for new career moves in 2024, and this list recognises those employers that can be a top choice for professionals looking to make those moves,” says Altantawy.
Other key trends that LinkedIn has observed are that global business consulting firms dominate the 2024 league table in the UAE, stc is the new Top Company in Saudi Arabia while Aramco has dropped to third place, and that entertainment companies Miral and Saudi Entertainment Ventures have joined the Top 15 Companies in the UAE and KSA in 2024.
Against this backdrop, these are the top 15 companies in both the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Altogether, there are 29 different companies in these two lists, as Procter & Gamble is represented in both the UAE and Saudi.
