5.3 Magnitude Earthquake Recorded in Dhofar Governorate
An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.3 was monitored in the Wilayat of Shaleem and Al Hallaniyat Islands, Dhofar Governorate on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, said the Earthquake Monitoring Centre (EMC).
The Earthquake Monitoring Centre (EMC) at Sultan Qaboos University said in a statement that an earthquake in the Wilayat of Shaleem and Al Hallaniyat Islands in Dhofar Governorate was recorded at 1.05 AM MCT, at a depth of 4 km. The earthquake was recorded 187 km northeast of Salalah.
