Bahrain: F1 Ticket Holders to Get Free Access to Pre-Season Testing

Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) announced yesterday that Formula 1 fans who have purchased their tickets to the F1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix 2024 before 1 February will get free access to the two open days of F1 Aramco Pre-Season Testing 2024.

The tests are scheduled to take place at “The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East” in Sakhir from 21 to 23 February.

BIC will be opening its gates to the public on testing’s last two days on 22 and 23 February.

F1 enthusiasts will thus have the chance to enjoy watching the sport’s teams and superstar drivers while they are hard at work preparing for the 2024 FIA F1 World Championship.

It will be the first opportunity to see the brand new 2024 cars on track.

All those who have already bought their tickets to the race weekend will be able to attend the pre-season testing for free.

Those who have yet to secure their tickets are advised to buy theirs before 1 February in order to enjoy the free access.

Tickets to the F1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix 2024 are available online at the circuit’s official website bahraingp.com, or by calling the BIC Hotline on +973- 17450000.

Sneak preview

The tests will offer fans a sneak preview at what’s to come in the new campaign, which flags off just a few days later in the Kingdom from 29 February to 2 March.

The grand prix weekend will be celebrating “20 Years of a Modern Classic”, as it commemorates the Kingdom of Bahrain’s landmark 20th anniversary in F1.

All those attending F1 Aramco Pre-Season Testing 2024 will be able to follow the action from BIC’s Main Grandstand, which overlooks the F1 Pit Lane, the teams’ garages, and the circuit’s main straight.

The tests are the F1 teams’ only chance to get crucial information on their cars’ performance on track ahead of the first race.

BIC is hosting F1 pre-season testing for the fourth year in a row and for the fifth time overall. Bahrain also staged the tests in 2014, while F1 conducted in-season testing in Sakhir in 2017 and 2019.
