Bahrain: HH Shaikh Nasser Wins 160-Km Race of Monpazier Endurance Championship

HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Royal Endurance Team Captain, claimed victory at the 160-km race of the Monpazier Endurance Championship in France.

HH Shaikh Nasser confirmed his distinguished capabilities as he managed to win the Monpazier Endurance Championship, just six months after claiming the World Endurance Championship in Abu Dhabi, riding the same horse, Darco La Majorie.

On the occasion, HH Shaikh Nasser affirmed that the new victory adds to the rich record of the endurance sport in Bahrain, thanks to the constant care of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the unwavering support of HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

HH Shaikh Nasser also paid tribute to HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, for his constant support throughout the race.

HH Shaikh Nasser indicated winning the first place and the cup of the championship will motivate the Royal Endurance team to continue attaining good results during the upcoming completions.

HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad congratulated HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad on winning the 160-km race of the Monpazier Endurance Championship.

His Highness asserted that the victory is the outcome of the tremendous efforts exerted by HH Shaikh Nasser during the race, which reflects his distinguished capabilities as a successful Captain of the Royal Endurance Team.

HH Shaikh Nasser was presented with the trophy of the race, while Royal Endurance Team rider, Mohammed Al-Hashimi, won the award of the second place.

HH Shaikh Nasser won the race after clocking 8 hours, 32 minutes and 50 second. Al-Hashim was second after finishing the race in 8 hours, 33 minutes and 15 seconds.

Jockeys from many countries took part in the 160-km race, including Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, Algeria, France, Austria, Romania, Australia, Chinese Taipei, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal, Switzerland, USA and Colombia.
