Bahrain: Residency permit stickers go digital
Bahrain announces digitalisation of residency stickers through the national e-government portal bahrain.bh, benefiting the citizens, business owners and residents in the Kingdom.
The residence permit stickers are no longer required to be stamped on the passport of residents, their families, owners of companies and institutions.
The permits can be renewed and printed online with a QR code. They can also be downloaded on smartphones and sent by e-mail. The permits will be digitally verified for arrivals through an electronic key service (eKey) generated from the national portal. This service is available round the clock and can be accessed from anywhere.
