Batelco reaches top 10 in Global Mobile Speed Rankings

Batelco demonstrated market leadership in Bahrain with its exceptional mobile network quality by achieving average mobile data download speed of 158Mbps in December 2021, which placed Batelco’s speed in top 10 globally for download speeds available, according to an Ookla Case Study published on its website this week.  

Ookla is the global leader in broadband and mobile speed testing and web-based network diagnostic applications. During Q3-Q4 2020, Batelco received the SpeedtestÒ by OoklaÒ Award as Bahrain’s Top Rated Mobile Network Operator, and throughout 2021 Batelco’s high average download speed consistently lifted Bahrain’s Global Index Ranking, where Bahrain ended 2021 ranked as the 18th fastest nation in the world.
